The Business Exploring Team
Travis is a graduate from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania where he studied History and Cultural Anthropology. He joined the Exploring program in November of 2007 and now handles all Business Exploring Industries. He was promoted to the Assistant Director of Exploring in January 2011. He has seen the merits of the program first hand and looks forward to expanding the Exploring footprint to serve more of New York City’s youth. During the winter he spends his spare time hiking around the Catskills. During the summer he spends his spare time trying to sail and catching clams and bluefish in the Great South Bay.
Claretta is a graduate from Fairfield University where she studied Politics. She also minored in Environmental Studies, Black Studies, Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She joined the Exploring program in September of 2016 after participating in two Exploring programs as a high school student in New York City. During her free time, Claretta enjoys watching the waves at the beach and practicing yoga.
Lauren graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2015 with a degree in Communication and Media Studies as well as Sociology. She began working for New York Exploring in the Fall of 2016 and appreciates the opportunity to work closely with New York City’s youth. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys running, drawing, exploring NYC with friends, and road trips.
David is a graduate of SUNY Fredonia, where he studied Childhood Education, Special Education, and English. After obtaining his Bachelor of Education in 2018, David began working for New York Exploring in October of the same year. In his spare time, David enjoys being outdoors, playing music, and spending time with his friends, family, and cat.
